You can find odds on everything these days, even how long Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kanye West will last.

So it’s no surprise that Heisman Trophy odds are already listed, nearly two months before the start of the season.

The favorite, according to Las Vegas sportsbook Bovada is the young man who walked away with the 25-pound bronze man last year — FSU QB Jameis Winston at 3-to-2.

Winston, who is a sophomore, could become the first player to repeat as Heisman winner since Ohio State RB Archie Griffin in 1974 and ’75, something that Johnny Manziel, among others, couldn’t do.

Other ACC players include: Miami RB Duke Johnson (33/1) and FSU RB Karlos Williams (33/1).

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota is second at 11/2 and Ohio State QB Braxton Miller is third at 6/1.

Of the 23 players listed above, 14 are QB's.  That should tell you about Gurley's odds...this isn't the 70's or 80's anymore.  Further, how does Gurley get enough carries with three other 5 star RB's on the sideline?

Not a good bet...

Heisman or not, if T.G. stays healthy, he will be a very rich man, come next spring.

What's wrong with sharing carries?  The objective is to have the best eleven in the game and to win,  not get some individual award.  Gurley is the best back in a large group of backs.  Let's just win the games and let the media just sort out individual awards.  And yes I say we.  I am a graduate of UGA and a former athlete.

He won't even be the top back in the SEC, be to worried about getting some coin come Draft Day.

That's about where i would have Gurley because CMR is full of love and is not going to give the rock to just one of his stable of Backs. He might hurt someones feelings.

Just a hunch.... the QB from Baylor will win it this year. That system helps put up video game stats.

Herschel would have been a lock to win consecutive Heisman's, had he stayed for his senior season.

Todd Gurley is a heck of a player.  Not sure he will have the numbers to win the Heisman due to the number of RBs that will get carries during the year, or if Georgia will have the wins this year to keep him in the hunt.  If the new QB plays as well as Murray, they might.  But that is a big might. .

Todd will be there in the end if he works hard this fall without injury. Winston will be in jail for rape.

If an LSU player had not rolled up on his ankle in the 3rd game of the season Gurley would have won it last year. He nearly beat UF on his own at only 75% healthy and missing a qt during the game. Winston couldn't have done that.

Heisman? Wouldn't you need to play more than two or three series

per game to even be considered? Perhaps the Mark Bradley Award

is in the big guys future..This award given to dogs every year for

championships never realized...lol

12-1 odds is hardly a reason to tout him this early. That being said he very well could win it.Guess it's a slow or lazy day to be talking about the heisman candidates. Seems like aevery news outlet puts out a list of who they think will win it. Only the experts at espn really know for sure though. Heisman....what a joke.

I will go with Todd for my pre-season HT winner.

Note... we will get a chance on  Nov 1st to change our mind. It's called the Obama plan.

Healthy and 25-30 carriers a game will net him about 1600-1800 yards and 25 TD's  He'll be in the hunt

@RedandBlackDAWG That is exactly why he wont win the Heisman, Pink Floyd wrote a little song about it, want to hear it? here it goes. Money!

I agree. I don't give a sheet about the Heisman for the glass ball is the Trophy I want for Alabama. I am glad Bama finally got one with Mark Ingram just for the trophy case. Keep the RB's fresh at all time and that might mean 2 or 3 RB's pounding the ball but do whatever it takes to win the game. Todd will get his money in the NFL. UGA needs that glass ball more than another HT in the case. JMO

@96JB He will never see 25 or 30 carries a game, CMR is going to spread the sunshine and lollipops.
