Here comes Oregon.

Oregon moved past Florida State and into second in the newest College Football Playoff rankings that were released Tuesday night.

The Ducks (9-1) have a loss, but are coming off an impressive victory at Utah.

TCU, another one-loss team, made another huge jump, moving into fourth, ahead of Alabama and Arizona State. The Horned Frogs also stayed ahead of one-loss Baylor, despite losing the head-to-head game.

Other highlights:

  • Auburn fell from No. 3 to ninth after its loss to Texas A&M.
  • Notre Dame fell from No. 10 to 18th after its loss at Arizona State.
  • Georgia is at No. 15 heading into Saturday’s game against Auburn.
  • No. 1 Mississippi State plays at No. 5 Alabama on Saturday.

“We spent a lot of time discussing the merits of the top teams this week,” selection committee chairman Jeff Long said in a release. “We clearly look at the win/loss record, but we also look beyond the record to other factors indicating overall strength. Our thinking is consistent. Strength of schedule and body of work are important. Week in and week out, we will begin with a fresh look at all the teams and a clean sheet of paper which provides us with new perspective.”

The CFP Championship game will be played in Arlington, Texas, on Jan. 12.
