Say what you will about Florida State.

Say that the Seminoles are lucky or inconsistent or they are only undefeated because they beat up on ACC opponents.

The defending national champions (12-0) just completed their second consecutive undefeated season, despite QB Jameis Winston playing like a third-string walk-on (four interceptions) to remain the only undefeated team in the FBS.

FSU is not only deserving of its No. 3 ranking in the College Football Playoff, it received a boost when ACC teams went 4-0 against their SEC rivals today.

Here are Saturday’s rivalry results:

  • FSU 24, Florida 19
  • Georgia Tech 30, Georgia 24, OT
  • Clemson 35, South Carolina 17
  • Louisville 44, Kentucky 40

It was the first time since 2000 that Florida State, Clemson and Georgia Tech defeated Florida, South Carolina and Georgia in the same season.

“I’m very proud of the ACC today,” FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said after the win. “Four-and-oh. We beat some good football teams. I thought everybody did a good job. I keep telling folks. This is a heckuva a league. … This is a very deep league and a very good league.”

No. 4 Mississippi State (10-2) lost to Ole Miss, crushing the Bulldogs’ CFP hopes, and the selection committee must now weigh the injury to No. 6 Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett, who will miss the Big Ten Championship game after fracturing an ankle in the Buckeyes’ win over Michigan.

Ohio State will play Wisconsin on Saturday, the same day Florida State plays Georgia Tech (10-2) for the ACC championship.
