Hopefully you’ll be able to get away from work during the holidays. If so, clear time to watch bowl games.

Not all of them, of course. There’s only about 3,476 bowls these days, so I don’t know anybody who’ll be able to do that.

But pick out a select few and enjoy the last remaining games of what’s been an amazing season.

Here are a few suggestions:

Boca Raton Bowl

Marshall (12-1) vs. Northern Illinois (11-2), 6 p.m. Dec. 23, ESPN

Put down the remote: Great offenses should provide plenty of points, especially if Marshall QB Rakeem Cato finds the hot hand.

Bahamas Bowl

Western Kentucky (7-5) vs. Central Michigan (7-5), noon Dec. 24, ESPN

Put down the remote: You’ve already watched “Christmas Vacation” for the 15th time this month, so give your Blu-ray player a break. Besides, it’s in the Bahamas.

Sun Bowl

Duke (9-3) vs. Arizona State (9-3), 2 p.m. Dec. 27, CBS

Put down the remote: Both of these teams just missed out playing for their conference championships, so they have plenty to prove.

Holiday Bowl

Nebraska (9-3) vs. Southern Cal (8-4), 8 p.m. Dec. 27, ESPN

Put down the remote: Bo Pelini is gone, but there should be plenty of fireworks with these offenses. USC’s Cody Kessler is an exceptional QB.

Peach Bowl

Ole Miss (9-3) vs. TCU (11-1), 12:30 p.m. Dec. 31, ESPN

Put down the remote: And go to the game at the Georgia Dome. Ole Miss’ defense will have one of its toughest tests of the season.

Outback Bowl

Wisconsin (10-3) vs. Auburn (8-4), noon Jan. 1, ESPN2

Put down the remote: High-profile coaching changes have highlighted this month for both schools, but new Auburn defensive chief Will Muschamp won’t coach in the bowl.

I didn’t include the two national semifinals because you shouldn’t need reasons to watch them. I’ll preview all of the SEC and ACC bowls games next week.
