Georgia and Auburn are scheduled to play on Nov. 14.

If the predicted finish of the 69th annual AL.com/Birmingham News SEC Preseason Football Report comes true, the Bulldogs and Tigers will meet again on Dec. 5.

The report, a poll of the SEC’s football sports information directors, predicts Georgia will win the SEC East and Auburn will take the West, meaning they’ll play for the SEC championship at the Georgia Dome.

Georgia had six first-place votes for 36 total points, followed by two-time defending East champ Missouri, which had one first-place vote, four seconds and one fifth for 28 points.

Auburn edged Alabama 33-32 with three first-place votes and three second-place votes. Alabama had three first-place votes, two second-place votes and one third.

A school’s football information director could not vote for his school in the polls.

Auburn was picked to win the East, but Alabama was selected as the top team in the SEC.
