Amway Coaches Poll Week 2: Ohio State remains No. 1, 9 SEC schools in Top 25

The Amway Coaches Poll was released on Tuesday, and there was one change in the Top 10.

Ohio State remained in the top spot after its 42-24 victory over Virginia Tech on Monday. Alabama jumped up to No. 2 following the Crimson Tide’s win over Wisconsin, and TCU bumped down to No. 3. A total of nine SEC teams were selected in the Top 25 with three coming in the Top 10, and Georgia Tech ranked as the No. 16 team in the nation.

Auburn came in at No. 7, UGA at No. 9, Ole Miss at No. 14 and LSU moved down two spots to No. 15 after its game was canceled against McNeese State. Arkansas moved up two spots to No. 18 and Texas A&M entered the top 25 for the first time, after their upset win over Arizona State on Saturday, at No. 19.

Rounding out the SEC was Missouri at No. 21 and Tennessee at No. 23. There were eight SEC teams picked in the Top 25 in the preseason rankings.

The Amway Coaches Poll is made up of 64 coaches at Bowl Subdivision schools.
