South Carolina’s Connor Mitch struggled to lead the Gamecocks to a victory over North Carolina in a nationally televised game last Thursday.
Naturally, Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier was asked about that during Wednesday’s SEC Teleconference
He said Mitch is doing “Okay.”
Spurrier also noted the receiving corps needs to do a better job of getting open, and that the offensive line is doing a good job of getting Mitch the looks he needs.
At the same time, Mitch needs to slow the game down and make accurate throws, Spurrier said.
Mitch finished the season-opening win against the Tar Heels by completing 9 of 22 passes with a touchdown.
The Gamecocks and Mitch face Kentucky at home this week.
