Gators tussle after practice to continue tough week

Will Muschamp is having a tough week.

Backup quarterback Skyler Mornhinweg and defensive lineman Gerald Willis III fought each other after Monday’s practice, one day after quarterback Treon Harris was suspended for an alleged sexual assault.

University of Florida police arrived to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium where they found Mornhinweg had sustained “small lacerations on his lower lip,” according to the police report. He was taken to an emergency room for treatment.

He told the officers that the fight was over his cleats, “which he said were located by the team’s staff in Willis’ locker,” ESPN.com reported.

Aaron Hernandez is in 2014 Florida football calendar

A photo of Aaron Hernandez, the former Florida TE who has been charged with killing three men, is in a 2014 University of Florida sports calendar.

A photo of him with the ball is featured for the month of July.

Officials approved the calendar in the spring of 2013, shortly before Hernandez was arrested on June 26, 2013, in the slaying of Odin Lloyd, Florida spokesman Daniel Apple told The Associated Press.

“There are thousands of Gators products for approval in the pipeline at any given moment,” he told the AP.
